Five-time Tour de France winner Bernard Hinault has come out strongly in defense of Tadej Pogačar, who has faced increasing doping speculation following his dominant performances this season. Hinault, a legendary figure in cycling, dismissed the accusations and criticized those casting doubt on the Slovenian rider’s achievements.
In an interview with French media, Hinault stated, “Every time someone rides stronger than the rest, they start shouting doping. This is ridiculous. They are killing their own sport with these endless suspicions.”
