Kentucky Transfer Guard Kerr Kriisa Commits to Cincinnati Bearcats
In a major addition to their backcourt, the Cincinnati Bearcats have landed veteran guard Kerr Kriisa, who announced his commitment following a brief but eventful stint with the Kentucky Wildcats. Kriisa, who has played for multiple high-profile programs during his collegiate career, will join the Bearcats for the 2025 season, bringing with him a wealth of experience and leadership.
Kriisa began the 2024-25 season with Kentucky but was sidelined by a foot injury in December during a game against Gonzaga, which prematurely ended his season. Despite limited time on the court, he posted solid numbers, averaging 4.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game. His decision to transfer to Cincinnati offers a fresh start as he looks to make an impact in his final collegiate season.
Prior to Kentucky, Kriisa spent three seasons at Arizona and one at West Virginia. At West Virginia during the 2023-24 campaign, he showcased his shooting ability and playmaking skills, averaging 11 points and 4.7 assists per game while hitting 42.4% from beyond the arc. His time across these programs has made him one of the more seasoned guards in college basketball.
Cincinnati head coach Wes Miller is expected to utilize Kriisa’s court vision, perimeter shooting, and leadership to guide a young and competitive roster. His arrival marks Cincinnati’s first major transfer commitment of the 2025 offseason, and the Bearcats hope it sets the tone for a successful year ahead in the Big 12 Conference.
